Even though I have three mid-term exams next week and I have to prepare for them, this Saturday I am going to Niigata city. I am looking forward to it. So happy ne!
Now, it is getting colder and colder day by day. Kimura sensei said that in order for you not to catch a cold, before leaving your room, please put on warm clothes, eat more fruits, sleep early at night because the later you study, the colder it will become.

来週は期末試験が三つあるので、試験を準備しなければならないけど、今週の土曜日に新潟市へ行くつもりですよ！嬉しいね！
毎日毎日寒くなりますよ！木村先生は風を引かないように部屋を出るときに暖かい服を着たほうがいいと言いました。また、果物をたくさん食べたほうがいい、夜遅く勉強すればするほど寒くなるので早く寝たほうがいいなど、色々なアドバイスをくれました。

Fire Walking Festival 八海山大火渡祭
Hakkai-san is the name of the holly mountain nearby. The Shinto Shrine where the festival takes place is called Hakkai-san Jinja. The festival falls under the Shinto religion and participants come from all over Japan to pray and walk across hot coals as a statement of their faith. This is a very colorful and interesting event. There are food booths and a few shops set up there as well. SO go for lunch, or at least enjoy one of the sweat treats!
八海山はその祭りを行われる場所に近い山です。祭りを行われる神道神社といえば、八海山神社です。この祭りは神道の祭りだと言われています。祈り求めるように、人々は日本中から八海山神社へ行って、暑い木炭を歩いて、正念を表示します。この祭りはカラフルで面白いと思います。その回りに出店がたくさんありますので、昼ごはんと甘いお菓子が食べられます。

My first self-made rice after arriving in Japan 日本に着いた初めての自分で作ったご飯
This morning, I have started using the rice cooker that I bought yesterday. I made Mixed Fried Rice. It looks delicious, doesn't it? ^_^
今朝昨日買ったばかりの炊飯器が使い始める。炊き込みを作った。美味しいそうね！
Urasa Christ Church 浦佐キリスト教会
This is the church that I go to every Sunday. The church is small, and the people there are very friendly. The sermon is conducted in Japanese, thus, I can't understand most of the time. I can only understand a bit. Even though there is an English translation, normally it is summarize (made shorten). Normally after the service, we will sit down and have our lunch together. It is like a family.
これは私が毎週行く教会です。ビールが小さくて、人がとても親切だと思います。説教は日本語で言われていますので、あまり分かりません。ちょっとだけ分かりますので、大変だと思います。英訳がされるのに、だいたい短くなられます。サービスの後だいたい昼ごはんを一緒に食べることになります。家族のような教会だと思います。

One month in Japan 日本に着いたのは一ヶ月
Without one's realizing, I have been in Japan for one month already! I have attended many events, travelled, and met many friends. Very interesting ne!
Moving forward, a lot of things are happening. Tokyo Trip in Nov, Osaka Kyoto trip in Dec, Tokyo Trip in Jan, and many more..... looking forward to all of them.
いつのまにか、私が日本に着いたのは一ヶ月かもしれません。色々なエヴベントを参加して、旅行して、色々な友人に会って、とても楽しかったと思います。

Busiest Day in IUJ 国際大学に一番忙しい日
Today is my first busiest day ever since my arrival in IUJ. I had class from 9AM till 6PM, followed by Welcome Dinner & Party by MIF until around 9PM. I am very tired.... zzz...
今日は国際大学に着いて初めての一番忙しい日かもしれません。午前９時から午後６時までクラスがあった。その後、９時まで晩ご飯のパーティーがあった。とても疲れた。

Murakami, Here I come! 村上市, 僕は今日来たよ！
I am very excited today. Later at 9:45 am, I am joining a tour to Muramaki, a city located in Nothern Niigata. Transportation costs 4000 yen round trip by bus. Looking forward to the trip.

Princess Mononoke もののけ姫
(source: Wikipedia)I have just watched this Japanese animated movie in one of the classrooms. One of the first year Japanese student organized this movie session. I think the response is not bad.. About 20 people turned up for the session. It was kinda cool watching movie in a classroom using projector ^_^.
It is a good movie. Very good choice of movie, eiichi-san! Arigatoo ne!
